SusperSport United beat Maritzburg United 1-0 in a League match on Saturday evening.
Matsatsantsa scored the only goal of the game through Kermit Erasmus.
Kermit Erasmus initiated a splendid move when he intercepted, passed to Maluleke, who set up Thabo September with a pass, which he crossed to connect with Erasmus’ classy header to find the Pretoria side’s first goal of the game in the 25th minute.
Letladi Madubanya and Diyo Sibisi earned themselves a yellow card each from Referee Harry Lekitlane before the half-time whistle.
In the 63rd minute, Bradley Carnell made a threatening run to connect Erasmus, who’s shot was blocked while he had the option of passing Laffor when he made the run on his right hand side.
There seemed to have sparked some form of a synergy in the Gavin Hunt’s side when Maluleke tried to intercept Salmon after a fantastic run only to be ruled offside by the Referee Lekitlane.
SuperSport had to maintain a high ball possession rate in order to secure their lead until the final whistle.
