Supersport United came from a goal down to beat Moroka Swallows 2-1 in an SAA Supa8 match at a hot Olympia Park on Saturday afternoon thanks to a brace from Daine Klate. Alton Meiring scored the other goal.

The game was exciting with both teams having a number of slight scoring chances throughout. Swallows looked the better side during the first half but United got better as the match progressed and deserved the win.

Early on in the match Swallows put United under pressure and in the 2nd minute Lefa Tsutsulupa hammered his long-range shot wide.

Swallows took the lead in the 8th minute when a long ball down the middle found Alton Meiring unmarked, he ran forward and beat keeper Andre Arendse with a well placed shot.

Greg Etafia, the Swallows goalkeeper, made a great save to deny Ricardo Katza from scoring with a header in the 11th minute.

Etafia made another good save to stop a volley by Carlito Chimomole in the 27th minute.

United scored in the 42nd minute when a Daine Klate free kick took a deflection to beat a diving Etafia.

Klate scored his second goal in the 50th minute when Katlego Mphela ran down the right, cutting in towards the box to send in a quality low cross for Klate to score with a shot from 5-yards out.

Swallows should have got the equalizer in the 69th minute when quality cross from Japhet Zwane on left found Songwe Chalwe who put his shot wide from about 10-yards out.

Tsutsulupa came close to getting the equalizer in the 80th minute when his long-range shot went narrowly past the post.

In the end United deserved the win.
