Santos beat Bidvest Wits 3-0 thanks to a brace from Phikolethu Spelman in a League match at Bidvest Stadium.
The other goal was scored by Graham King.
Wits’ Sifiso Vilakazi had a sight of goal with half an hour played but his 20-yard effort was easily saved by Langeveldt.
The Cape side was forced into a substitution just a few minutes before half time, with Zairon van Beulen succumbing to injury and making way for Shafeeq Arendse.
However, it didn’t stop them taking the lead on 41 minutes, with former Wits player Phikolethu Spelman scoring against his old team after an assist by Erwin Isaacs.
And the People’s Team doubled their lead 15 minutes into the second half, with Graham King sliding home a shot from 12-yards out after more good set-up play by Isaacs.
Wits almost pulled one back on 69 minutes as substitute Thando Mngomeni hit the woodwork with a left-footed shot.
But more disappointment was to follow for the home side as their defence was breached for a third time in the 74th minute and again Spelman was the main protagonist, steering home Shafeeq Arendse’s cross from the left to make the score 3-0.
