Kadi nets again as Wits draw

Calvin Kadi scored his tenth of the season as Bidvest Wits drew 1-1 with Free State Stars in Johannesburg.

In a match that started slowly it was visitors Free State Stars who scored first.

On the counter attack, the hard-running Siyabonga Mdluli netted after 28 minutes.

Wits immediately went in search of an equaliser and it duly arrived when Kadi put away an easy tap in from a Myeni cross in the 43rd minute.

The Stars defence was well marshalled by Ghanaian Jonathan Mensah and on the other end, Tebelo Mofokeng somehow missed the opportunity of the match.

Face to face with the goalkeeper, he surprisingly shot off target.

Wits pushed hard in search of a winner but could not beat Kennedy Mweene.

The 1-1 result was a fair outcome.
