AmaZulu lose yet again

Posted: 30 September 2009 Time: 22:09

AmaZulu fans made no secret of their feelings towards head coach Neil Tovey following a 1-0 defeat to Golden Arrows at Chatsworth Stadium on Wednesday night.

Richard Henyekane’s first half penalty proved the difference between the two sides and cemented Usuthu’s place at the bottom of the PSL standings.

It could have been so different though as Nhlanhla Zwane was denied by goalkeeper Thulasizwe Khuzwayo, who then saved from Ayanda Dlamini in a one-on-one.

Against the run of play though, Arrows took the lead from the spot through Henyekane after Pere Ariweriyai was adjudged to have fouled Zwane.

However, AmaZulu kept on pressing and again Khuzwayo was called into action to save from Dlamini.

Arrows were better after the break and Nicolas Gindre had to be alert to deny Koffi Tanoh, though Usuthu soon re-established their dominance and were unlucky to see Myron Shongwe’s late header come back off the crossbar.

Where are those Sundowns fans who have been crying for Neil Tovey to coach us? Before the end of the week he will be fired by Amazulu, then Khompela will be fired by P.Stars, followed by that Swallows coach. Sorry guys but you are not delivering results.

Khompela is a good talker but a very lousy walker. seriously, even as a player at national team, he was worse than the Mbazo Mokoena that he keeps on lambasting at every turn. this guys is a serial looser, P Stars will keep him at their own peril.

Leave Komphela alone, there has been some positives from his work, he took on a team that was not doing well anyway and I have confidence in him to improve. As for my coach TOVEY, well, I cant say much in defense as he took over a very promising and improved team (based on last season) and really - I don't the light at the end of the tunnel. It would be wise for management to act now - while there are some games - than to change coach or something - not sure what - in the last five games of this short season. Loss against OMAKOTI was unforgivable

Amazulu's managment must blame themselves for poor handling of sensitive issues. They have been in the media recently for wrong reasons. Now supporters because they are not happy, and they used wrong approach to direct their frustration to the coach and the team. These things definitely kill the spirit of players especially those who are not black. Racism is always an excuse under the circumstance of this nature, and the managment must as quick as possible denounces such utterances because Amazulu will be relegated if they continue like this.
