Ezenkosi, Amakhosi draw

Posted: 17 February 2008 Time: 17:51

Chiefs drew 0-0 with Cosmos in a frustrating Absa Premiership match at Orkney Stadium on Sunday.

Both sides created numerous chances, and played good football, but just could not find the back of the net.

Cosmos could have been 3-0 up in the first twenty minutes, after two shots from Dikgang Mabalane and one from Bamuza Sono.

Geoffrey Massa had a great game, creating chance after chance. However, he either couldn’t finish himself, or distributed the ball to teammates who couldn’t deliver.

Massa had a great chance in the 37th minute, after a shot was deflected and he was delivered the ball right in front of the net, but he skied his attempt over the posts.

The best chance for Cosmos came in the 86th minute, however, when Massa made a solid run on the left, beat his man, and then looked to have gone too far before blasting the ball straight at Khune from a tight angle. The ball hit the inside of the keeper’s leg and went out off the post. Cosmos couldn’t make anything of the resulting consecutive corners.

Chiefs had their fair share of opportunities, but Cosmos keeper Avril Phali was on form.

The result takes Chiefs out of the bottom four on goal difference. Cosmos stay bottom on 14 points.

KAIZER NEEDS TO REALIZE THAT HIS TEAM HAS NO STYLE OF PLAY ANYMORE.THEY KICK 4WAD.CAPE TEAMS DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE.BUT NA, WE HAD TO TAKE OVER. FIND A LOCAL COACH, CLEARLY NOT JOMO, PERIOD.

AS i have predicted before and will carry on predicting, our soccwer is of a poor standard due to no development.SAFA and the PSL are to blame we have too many fatcats taking the money and enriching themselves while the poor players suffer. We WILL be eliminated in the first round in 2010 without scoring a goal and without getting apoint. And I bet you Jomo Sono will be the coach for 2010 world cup.Mark my words.

After realising that kids won't win him league he went for the tried and tested players, even resorted to 4-4-2 formation but nothing went right. Khune denied cosmos a win on the day.Amakhosi need a goal poacher upfront upfront.

Stuborn K/Chiefs denies Cosmos maximum points in PSL game. IF Cosmos can display this kind of good football and stop being defensive they still stand a chance to win the league. Poor poor finishing is problem in Mzansi, just look at missed cances one on one with keeper.

Yha ne! It seems a draw these is our daily bread. I'm a chiefs fan but I must confess folks, I envy Teko Modise. Itomeleng Khune, you were fabulous mfana. If it wasn't for you, I don't know what would have happen. I think Kaizer should fire the coach before it's too late

It was Cosmos vs King Khune. Now khune must try to score goals himself as much he can keep the goals may be he can also score becouse he is play against 11 players alone all the times. player of the season its between him and Teko.
