Supersport United beat Black Leopards 3-1 in an Absa Premiership encounter on Wednesday night.
The Supersport goals were scored by Fikru Teferra, Daine Klate and Denis Onyango while Mulondo Sikhwivhilu scored for the visitors.
The match was dominated by United and they deserved the win. Leopards did play well during the second half but were unable to crack the solid defence of the homeside.
In the 19th minute Teferra scored when he side-footed the ball into the goal after receiving a cross from Daine Klate on the left.
Klate scored United’s second goal in the 30th minute with a shot from a cross supplied on the right from Elias Pelembe.
Leopards pulled a goal back in the 43rd minute when Sikhwivhilu scored with a volley after Onyango failed to clear the ball.
The Supersport goalkeeper Denis Onyango scored in the 86th minute when he hammered the ball up field and caught the Leopards’ keeper Mashudu Mamphitha off his line to score his side’s third goal.
The win lifts United near the top of the table on 27 points while Leopards are near the bottom on 14 points.
