Bloemfontein Celtic denied Baroka FC their first victory of the year after the two sides played to a 2-2 draw in the Absa Premiership on Sunday afternoon.
Wedson Nyirenda made only one change from their stalemate with the Chilli Boys as Jemondre Dickens took the place of Ranga Chivaviro, while Lehlohonolo Seema introduced debutant Mzwanele Mahashe for Wandisile Letlabika.
After a lively opening, Tshegofatso Mabaso was clinical enough to put Celtic ahead after 26 minutes as he got on the end of a long pass to squeeze a low shot past Elvis Chipezeze.
The Limpopo side were fortunate to level matters ten minutes before the break when Mpusana Tani headed into his own net after trying to clear danger following a teasing ball over the top.
Mduduzi Mdantsane gave Baroka the lead five minutes later with a cracking left-footed diagonal strike into the far corner after combining with Dickens on the edge of the box.
Seema made his first change at the beginning of the second stanza, going on an all-out attack as he sacrificed Tani for Victor Letsoalo, while Tebogo Potsane came on for Neo Maema.
Mabaso brought Phunya Sele Sele back in the game in the 72nd minute with a strike at the near post following a long volleyed pass from goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb to complete his brace on the day.
Bakgaga threw bodies forward in search of a winning goal, but they could not find a way past Tignyemb and were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.
