Teboho Mokoena played a starring role to inspire SuperSport United to a 4-2 victory over Bloemfontein Celtic at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Lucky Baloyi should have opened the scoring in the seventh minute afterone-on-one with the goalkeeper but while he attempted to round Reyaad Pieterse inside the box he closed his angle to score and fluffed his chance.

Jacky Motshegwa did find the opener for the visitors in the 17th minute after as the midfielder latched onto Clayton Daniels' poor back-pass and finished with a low shot at the near post, 0-1.

Mogakolodi Ngele brought parity on the half-hour mark after a poor clearance fell in his path and he beautifully side-footed his shot into the bottom corner, 1-1.

Evans Rusike put Matsatsantsa 2-1 up six minutes before halftime with a close range finish following a poor clearance from Deon Hotto.

Ten minutes into the second half, Lorenzo Gordinho came close to finding the equaliser with a header inside the box. but his effort sailed over the crossbar.

Ndumiso Mabena equalised on the hour-mark with a clinical finish into the bottom corner after pouncing on an error from Denwin Farmer, 2-2.

Aubrey Modiba gave Matsatsantsa the lead in the 74th minute with a free header inside the box after he was picked out beautifully by Mokoena on the right wing, 3-2.

Mokoena put the game to bed seven minutes before time with a powerful low shot from just outside the box that found the bottom corner, 4-2.
