Mbabane Swallows gave Platinum Stars a football lesson as they romped to a 4-2 victory in their CAF Confederation Cup Group B clash on Tuesday afternoon.
Sabelo Ndzinisa bagged a four-goal haul for the hosts while Benson Shilongo's brace proved a mere consolation at the Somhlolo Stadium.
Cavin Johnson made four changes to his side that beat Kaizer Chiefs in their previous league encounter, with Ndumiso Mabena, Robert Ng'ambi, Sphiwe Mnguni and Sipamandla Mlilo all returning to the starting line-up.
Goalkeeper Steven Hoffman also retained his place in goal ahead of the experienced Mbongeni Mzimela, which arguably backfired for Stars.
The hosts opened the scoring through Ndzinisa in the opening five minutes as they beat the Stars defensive line, who were caught in no-man's land, before slotting home past a hapless Hoffman.
Two minutes later Ndzinisa added a second as he steered home a header at the near-post from a Swallows corner.
Dikwena had a good chance to pull one back after 15 minutes as Ng'ambi forced the Swallows keeper into a reflex save to deny his powerful header from six yards out.
Shilongo won a penalty in the 20th minute, then stepped up to slot home from 12-yards out to halve the home side's lead.
Stars were fortunate to be handed a second penalty just before half-time, as a Swallows defender's attempted clearance struck his hand, with the referee harshly pointing to the spot, but Abia Nale's poorly placed effort was saved.
Shilongo created two promising opportunities for himself before the hour-mark, but the Swallows goalkeeper was up to the task on both occasions.
However, Ndzinisa then sealed his hat-trick as he got onto the end of a loose ball inside the Stars penalty area and netted from 12 yards out with a right-footed shot.
The 25-year-old Swallows hitman then grabbed his and his team's fourth goal as he struck an excellent right-footed shot beyond Hoffman with just under 15 minutes remaining.
Stars were awarded a third spot-kick in the final minute of regulation time and Shilongo once again stepped up to slot home and bag his brace.
The result sees the Swazi outfit move top of the group, with four points from two games, while Dikwena drop to bottom with just one point.
CS Sfaxien will take on MC Alger in their second group clash in Algiers this evening (21h00).
