PSL Absa Premiership report Chippa United Bloemfontein Celtic

Posted: 25 October 2016 Time: 18:45

Chippa United were held to a goalless draw by Bloemfontein Celtic in the Absa Premiership at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Chilli Boys nearly sniped a victory in the closing stages, as Diamond Thopola fired an effort against the woodwork on his return from injury.

Celtic also had a great chance in the first half, but Vuyisile Wana was bravely thwarted by Daniel Akpeyi in a one-on-one situation.

The result saw Chippa inch above Cape Town City on goal difference to sixth place on the table with eight points from five games.

Celtic are in 11th spot with five points from as many matches.
