PSL Absa Premiership match report SuperSport United vs Platinum Stars

Platinum Stars beat SuperSport United 1-0 in their final league game of the season on Saturday but it was not enough to qualify for the MTN8.
SuperSport striker Jeremy Brockie looked to have scored the opener around the half-hour mark but his headed effort was disallowed for offside in Atteridgeville.
Dikwena then broke the deadlock just after the break through on-loan hitman Bongi Ntuli, who finished from close range with a left-footed shot at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
The hosts threatened to equalise in the closing stages but substitute Aubrey Modiba's shot triggered a fine save from goalkeeper Steven Hoffman.
The result sees Stars finish ninth on the table with 37 points from 30 matches. Matsatsantsa came fifth with 48 points.
Both sides are still active in the CAF Confederation Cup, while United will defend their Nedbank Cup title against Orlando Pirates in the final on June 24.
