PSL Absa Premiership match report Platinum Stars vs Kaizer Chiefs

Platinum Stars sent more disappointment Kaizer Chiefs' way with a 2-0 defeat of Amakhosi in Rustenburg on Wednesday night.
The hosts prevailed thanks to first-half goals from man of the match Solomon Mathe and midfielder Enocent Mkhabela, who is on loan at the club from the Glamour Boys.
Mathe drew first blood in the 22nd minute, powerfully heading home a cross from Gerald Phiri.
Mkhabela doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time, pouncing from close range after left-back Tsepo Masilela failed to clear a goalmouth scramble.
The result lifted Stars to 10th on the table with one more round of fixtures left on May 27, while fifth-placed Chiefs are set to end a second season without silverware under coach Steve Komphela a fair bit off the pace as they trail new champions Bidvest Wits by 13 points.
Dikwena, who remain active in the CAF Confederation Cup, will conclude their league campaign against SuperSport United, with Chiefs hosting Wits next weekend.
