Absa Premiership match report Polokwane City vs Baroka FC

Posted: 5 March 2017 Time: 15:10

There could be no separating Polokwane City and Baroka FC in the Absa Premiership as Sunday’s New Peter Mokaba Stadium encounter finished goalless.

Baroka enjoyed most of the early possession, but it was Rise and Shine who managed the first shot on target, Tlou Segolela unleashing one from range, which Oscarine Masuluke gathered at the second attempt.

Sepana Letsoalo was looking lively for the visitors but twice wasted chances before half-time, while shortly after the break, Lesedi Mapheto managed to test the goalkeeper but was denied.

Both sides pushed hard for a winner in the remainder of the second period and Helder Pelembe came agonisingly close to doing just that in the closing stages, only to see George Chigova miraculously claw the ball off the line.
