PSL Absa Premiership match report Polokwane City Ajax Cape Town

Posted: 18 February 2017 Time: 14:36

Polokwane City and Ajax Cape Town would have to settle for a point each as Saturday's Peter Mokaba Stadium encounter finished 1-1.

The Urban Warriors started brightly and managed their first shot on target after just four minutes as Nathan Paulse saw his effort parried away by George Chigova.

With 14 minutes gone Ajax got their goal, Rheece Evans producing an excellent run down the right before crossing in for Grant Margeman, who duly found the back of the net.

Rise and Shine would ensure they entered half-time level, though, with Rodney Ramagalela firing home the equaliser after being played in by Thabang Klaas.

Thabo Mosadi came close to restoring Ajax's lead just after the hour mark, although he was unable to properly direct his well-timed volley as he flashed his shot wide of the mark.

Jody February then needed to be at his best to prevent Ramagalela from grabbing his second of the afternoon with a smart save from the forward's shot.
