Orlando Pirates were stunned by the most outrageous equaliser in the dying seconds of their Absa Premiership encounter with Baroka FC that ended 1-1 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Justice Chabalala scored the first goal of the game as he poked the ball home from a corner just after the break before Bakgaga goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke scored with an overhead kick deep into stoppage time.
Baroka made all of the early running and had Orlando Pirates on the backfoot with Jackson Mabokgwane called into action on a number of occasions.
The Buccaneers stopper had to deal with a shot at the near post from Geoffrey Massa and was forced to dive at the feet of Richard Matloga early on.
At the other end Tendai Ndoro had a chance to score when he rounded Masuluke but the angle was far too tight for him to profit.
The Zimbabwean's opportunity was a rare one for Pirates as Baroka continued to enjoy the better chances and Mabokgwane had to race off his line when his defence was split open.
The visitors came back into proceedings as the half wore on and created a few half chances but nothing of real consequence until Ndoro scuffed a shot wide under pressure from Olaleng Shaku just before the half-hour mark.
Bakgaga were struggling to re-establish themselves after letting Pirates grab the ascendency although they did have a chance on the break late on but Sipho Moeti's shot from range was tame and well held.
Early into the second stanza Memela cannoned a shot into Shaku and from the resultant corner the visitors took the lead although it was not without controversy.
With the set-piece delivered in the Baroka stopper felt as though he was impeded but after Chabalala stabbed home the goal stood despite the protests.
Desperate to level things Baroka pressed forward and had a good chance ten minutes after going behind as Mahashe bulleted a header wide from a corner.
Next it was the turn of Lietsisa to be denied as he took a shot from a position more suited to crossing but it gave Mabokgwane something to think about.
The host continued to try and fight their way back into the game and Orlando Pirates looked as though they would hold on before a moment of individual brilliance rescued a point for the hosts.
With time ticking away towering shot stopper Masuluke left his position between the sticks to go and contest a corner and when his opposite number tipped it clear he attempted an audacious acrobatic shot that flew in.
