Mamelodi Sundowns were in cruise-control as they eased to a 3-0 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows in their Premier League clash at Loftus Versveld on Wednesday night.
Goals from Hlompho Kekana, Sibusiso Vilakazi and Themba Zwane gave The Brazilians the win in a game in which goalkeeper Denis Onyango was barely troubled.
Sundowns are without a number of their top stars with Anele Ngcongca (knee), Siyanda Zwane (shoulder), Khama Billiat (groin), Keagan Dolly (shin splints) and Bangaly Soumahoro (groin) all missing out.
There was late drama too when goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene injured his knee in the warm-ups and was replaced on the bench by Wayne Sandilands.
The first half was characterised by plenty of possesion for Sundowns, but with Golden Arrows getting plenty of men behind the ball, clearcut chances were few and far between.
It wasn't until five minutes before halftime that they managed to arrow in on the visitors' goal as Kekana's thunderbolt of a shot was brilliantly saved by Maximillian Mbaeva in the visitors goal.
But Kekana was not to be denied and he supplied an excellent finish with the outside of his foot from the resultant corner.
The game was killed as a contest when Anthony Laffor's cross was not dealt with by Mbaeva and Langerman's shot deflected off Sibusiso Vilakazi and into the net.
Sundowns continued to dominate and it was no surprise when Themba Zwane netted the third with an easy tap-in after another mistake from Mbaeva.
