Mamelodi Sundowns suffered their first defeat of the Absa Premiership campaign as Cape Town City came out 2-1 victors at the Loftus Stadium on Sunday.
Lebogang Manyama bagged a brace as he lead the Cape-side to a glamorous victory over the African champs.
City opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, when Lebogang Manyama banged home from close range, after Aubrey Ngoma did well to cut the ball back for his skipper at the near-post.
Hlompho Kekana then tested Shuaib Walters on the other end with a low, well-placed free-kick from 25-yards out, but the keeper palmed it away from goal and Percy Tau's follow-up effort then hit the side-netting.
Manyama could have doubled the visitors' lead in 38th minute but his stinging shot hit the up-right.
Sundowns finally managed an equaliser just before the hour mark as Thabo Nthethe got onto the end of a Khama Billiat free-kick, and did well to flick the ball beyond Walters.
Substitute Lehlohonolo Majoro had a glorious one-on-one chance with Kennedy Mweene to beat, but the striker failed to get a shot away before Sundowns cleared their lines.
Manyama then bagged his brace in the 83rd minutes, banging home from 12 yards out after a decisive pass from Ngoma, who did well to cut inside from the left flank.
