Highlands Park Cape Town City PSL Absa Premiership report

Posted: 27 September 2016 Time: 18:28

Collins Mbesuma scored his 100th PSL goal but it was not enough for victory as Highlands Park were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Cape Town City in Tembisa on Tuesday night.

City captain Lebogang Manyama broke the deadlock in the 67th minute at Makhulong Stadium after teammates Thato Mokeke and Lehlohonolo Majoro fired wide of the mark in the first half.

The lead, however, was short-lived as Zambian hitman Mbesuma equalised three minutes later with his third goal of the season and 100th in all PSL competitions.

Highlands are 10th on the Absa Premiership table with four points from as many games, while City are third with eight points from five matches - a point behind log leaders Golden Arrows.
