SuperSport United Free State Stars PSL Absa Premiership report

Posted: 24 September 2016 Time: 19:40

SuperSport United and Free State Stars could not find a goal between them in a 0-0 Absa Premiership draw at King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday.

It was the only late Absa Premiership match on Saturday night after Bidvest Wits vs Orlando Pirates was postponed due to the #FeesMustFall campaign.

Ea Lla Koto were without a coach after Denis Lavagne was shown the door this week as interim coach Themba Sithole took charge in the dugout.

Stars created the best early chance when Ronwen Williams had to be on his toes to deny Moeketsi Sekola from close range, but it was mostly SuperSport after that.

Jeremy Brockie missed two chances when he should have done better and Mario Booysen also missed three opportunities with his head.

Matsatsantsa created several chances towards the end of the match but could not convert their opportunities, with Booysen the most unlucky in the 79th minute after watching his header hit the underside of the crossbar and bounce out.

Thabo Mnyamane and Aubrey Modiba also had late chances to win it for SuperSport but could not hit the target.
