Al-Ahly lose to Asec Mimosas in Group A of the CAF Champions League

Al-Ahly lost 2-1 at home to Asec Mimosas in the group stages of the CAF Champions League on Tuesday.
Egyptian giants Ahly are in trouble in Group A as they suffered a second reverse following their opening defeat at Zesco United. Armand Niamke netted a late winner for the Ivorians in Alexandria after Ahmed Hegazy cancelled out Yannick Krahire Zakri's first-half opener for the visitors.
ASEC, with three points, are level with Zesco and Wydad Casablanca, who meet in Rabat on Wednesday.
Mamelodi Sundowns will effectively open their Group B campaign against Nigerian side Enyimba at Lucas Moripe Stadium tonight (kick-off: 19h00).
The Brazilians won 2-0 at ES Setif 2-0 earlier this month but the points were chalked off after CAF disqualified the Algerian side for crowd trouble.
In the Confederation Cup TP Mazembe edged Tanzanian outfit Young Africans 1-0 for their second Group A victory in Dar es Salaam.
Thomas Ulimwengu scored in the 76th minute at the National Stadium.
