Chicken Inn Mamelodi Sundowns CAF Champions League

Posted: 13 February 2016 Time: 16:59

Mamelodi Sundowns have seen their 19-game unbeaten run brought to an end by the most unlikely of opponents, Chicken Inn.

The Brazilians have swept all before them in the Premier Soccer League, but crashed to a 1-0 CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg defeat to the Zimbabwean champions at Bulawayo's Barbourfields Stadium.

The only goal of the game was scored in the 36th minute by Mitchell Katsvairo from a tight angle.

Sundowns had sent out a near full-strength side with the exception of Khama Billiat, who picked up a slight knock before the game.

Still, Pitso Mosimane will back his charges to overturn the deficit in the second leg in Tshwane.

Sundowns: Sandilands, Langerman, Nthethe, Arendse, Mashaba, T Zwane, Kekana, Mbekile, Modise, Dolly, Castro
