Relegation-threatened University of Pretoria were held to a 2-2 draw away to Polokwane City at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, and drop to bottom of the log.
The home side opened the scoring after just eight minutes through Sipho Jembula, who's shot from just outside the box took a deflection and left Tuks keeper Tristyn Coatsee wrong-footed.
The visitors did not drop their heads, and levelled matters 10 minutes later as Khethukuthula Zwane scored spectacularly from a tight angle, with the ball going in off the under-side of the crossbar.
The match then left both sides on edge as the relegation strugglers pushed for an equaliser, while the hosts refused to sit back and allow pressure from Shaun Bartlett's troops.
Vuyisile Ntombayithethi then found the back of the net in the 70th minute, after rising highest to head home from a corner, to hand Tuks the lead for the first time in the match and some necessary hope.
However, Thobani Mncwango quickly brought them back to earth as he bagged his 12th goal of the season when he equalised with just over 15 minutes to play after the ball fell fortuitously to the Polokwane sharp-shooter.
The results sees Pretoria outfit drop to 16th place after Maritzburg United beat Ajax Cape Town at the Harry Gwala Stadium.
