Premier Soccer League Absa Premiership Polokwane City vs Chippa United

Posted: 16 April 2016 Time: 14:10

Thobani Mncwango scored a last-gasp winner as Polokwane City eased their relegation concerns with a 1-0 victory over Chippa United at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday.

Mcnwango struck from range in the 89th minute for his 11th goal of the season.

Rise and Shine moved six points above the drop zone with five games left, while the Chilli Boys remain seventh in the Absa Premiership standings.

The match was poor as a spectacle, with the only real chance in the first half coming when Mncwango tested Ayanda Masiko with a curling free-kick in the 23rd minute.

Chippa started to see more of the ball, but the match remained a drab affair, which only ignited when Mcnwango rattled the net with a fine strike from outside the box at the death.
