Ajax Cape Town vs Mpumalanga Black Aces PSL Absa Premiership report

Posted: 10 February 2016 Time: 19:13

Mpumalanga Black Aces came back from two goals down to draw 2-2 in their Absa Premiership clash against Ajax Cape Town at Athlone Stadium on Wednesday night.

Riyaad Norodien put the Urban Warriors ahead in the 23rd minute with a solid finish at the far post after a clinical cross from the left from Prince Nxumalo.

Nxumalo then made it 2-0 in the 40th minute with a neat touch, turn and finish on his left foot after being fed on the six-yard box by Tashreeq Morris.

Aces pulled a goal back right after half-time as Collins Mbesuma got a slight touch onto Thanduyise Khuboni's shot from outside the box, sending the ball past Anssi Jaakkola.

And after Aubrey Ngoma missed an open goal, Muhsin Ertugral's side eventually found an equaliser in the 84th minute when Lebogang Manyama broke through the midfield and played in Bhongolethu Jayiya, who kept his composure and slotted into the bottom-right corner one-on-one.

The point puts Aces nine points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns while Ajax are eighth.
