Absa Premiership champions Kaizer Chiefs were held to a 1-1 draw by struggling University of Pretoria at FNB Stadium on Wednesday night.
Bernard Parker put Amakhosi in front midway through the first stanza, but Tebogo Monyai fired home an equaliser in the 71st minute.
Chiefs were left sweating over the fitness of in-form midfielder George Lebese, who was stretchered off with a knock in the latter stages of the League tie.
The result leaves the Glamour Boys in fourth place on the table with nine points from five games - three points behind leaders Bidvest Wits, and five points ahead of 14th-placed AmaTuks.
Steve Komphela's side started positively, as Reneilwe Letsholonyane rattled the side-netting from eight yards out early on.
Soon after Camaldine Abraw thumped an 18-yard effort inches over the crossbar.
The home side were rewarded for their pressure in the 26th minute, when Parker found the net on the turn after being teed up by Siphiwe Tshabalala.
Tuks forward Getaneh Kebede tried his luck before the interval, but his 20-yard effort found the frame of Reyaad Pieterse, who was playing instead of injured first-choice goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune.
The visitors showed intent after the interval, as Thabiso Nkoana shot narrowly wide of the target in the 50th minute.
Sammy Troughton's charges continued to press forward and were rewarded when Monyai's deflected volley in the box left Pieterse with no chance.
Both teams struggled for cohesion in the latter stages as the match ended with no victor.
