George Lebese scored a brace as Kaizer Chiefs came from a goal behind to win 4-1 against SuperSport United in their Absa Premiership clash at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
There was a penalty scare for Chiefs as early as the 19th minute when Siyabonga Xulu hacked down Dove Wome just inside the penalty area, however, referee Phillip Tinyani ruled that the foul had taken place outside the box. It was a big let-off so early in the game.
Nevertheless, Dove Wome gave SuperSport the lead in the 22nd minute with an absolutely cracking strike into the top-left corner. Itumeleng Khune had no chance of saving it and got nowhere near it as it hit the roof of the net and nearly broke it.
But Man of the Match Lebese equalised in the 49th minute as Khune's goal-kick was flicked into the midfielder's path by a SuperSport defender, who was under pressure from Siphelele Mthembu, and Lebese coolly lobbed Ronwen Williams, who had rushed off his line.
Ivan Bukenya popped up eight minutes later to turn things around, jumping above Bongani Khumalo and heading home Siphiwe Tshabalala's pinpoint free-kick from six yards out.
Buoyed by the goal, Chiefs took a margin of control on the game and created several more chances to add to the scoreline, and they were strengtheed further by a red card for Dean Furman, who was rather harshly shown a second yellow card in the 79th minute.
Chiefs' one-man advantage and general dominance eventually paid dividends in the 88th minute as substitute Camaldine Abraw cleverly found Lebese on the six-yard line, and he slotted past Williams to complete his brace.
Abraw made his impact felt again in stoppge time when he was bundled over in the box when clean through on goal, and defender Michael Boxall was lucky to receive only a yellow card for the last-man foul. Tshabalala made no mistake with a solid penalty-kick into the bottom-left corner as the game finished 4-1.
