South Africa preserved their perfect record against Swaziland with a 3-1 victory in Mbabane on Wednesday night.
Bafana Bafana claimed a fifth win over their neighbours thanks to goals from skipper Thulani Hlatshwayo, debutant Thabo Mnyamane and Mandla Masango, while ex-Jomo Cosmos man Felix Badenhorst netted for Sihlangu Semnikati.
Mnyamane was joined in making his Bafana bow by Siphelele Ntshangase, Thapelo Morena, Daniel Cardoso, Cole Alexander and Lebogang Phiri.
Ephraim 'Shakes' Mashaba's men next host continental giants Nigeria in another friendly at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Sunday. The Super Eagles are smarting after losing 1-0 at home to Uganda in their respective midweek fixture.
After a goalless opening period, the match ignited when Bidvest Wits defender Hlatshwayo headed in a free-kick in the 52nd minute following a foul on Black Leopards attacker Ntshangase.
Hlatshwayo is the latest beneficiary of Mashaba's captain rotation policy, with Dean Furman - who led the national team at the recent Africa Cup of Nations - excused from international duty at the request of his English League One club Doncaster Rovers.
Mnyamane, of University of Pretoria, doubled the advantage a minute later after receiving a pass from Ajax Amsterdam star Thulani Serero.
The hosts pulled one back just past the hour-mark, as Badenhorst fired an effort past Jackson Mabokgwane, who replaced Itumeleng Khune at the interval. Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Khune made his first Bafana appearance in over a year since losing his place in the side to injury.
Khune's clubmate Masango then made the game safe with a third goal in the 86th minute at Somhlolo Stadium.
