Bidvest Wits eased into the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals with a 3-0 victory over University of Pretoria in Johannesburg on Tuesday night.
The Students got the goals through Kees Kwakman, Man of the Match Sibusiso Vilakazi and Henrico Botes at Bidvest Stadium.
Wits took the lead in the 39th minute, as Dutch defender Kwakman rifled in a fine volley from an acute angle in the area.
AmaTuks almost drew level seconds later when Geofrey Massa met a corner-kick at the front post, but he saw his six-yard effort superbly saved by Moeneeb Josephs.
Bafana Bafana attacker Vilakazi doubled the advantage in the 57th minute when he turned home a Jabulani Shongwe cross.
Veteran hitman Botes got in on the act six minutes later with an unstoppable half-volley from the edge of the box.
Gavin Hunt's men safely saw out the rest of the game, with the coach notably handing a debut to teenage midfielder Liam Jordan with eight minutes to go. The 16-year-old is the son of the late former Bafana striker Keryn Jordan.
