PSL Absa Premiership: Polokwane City vs Chippa United

Posted: 6 December 2014 Time: 23:09

Polokwane City claimed a come-from-behind 3-1 win over Chippa United in an Absa Premiership encounter at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday night.

The Chilli Boys took an early lead though George Akpabio, but goals either side of half-time from Tshepo Molala and Rendani Ndou as well as a late penalty from Boban Bogere saw Rise and Shine claim the victory.
Chippa got off to a great start and opened the scoring just eight minutes into the first half. George Akpabio received the ball in the box from Andile Mbenyane and his shot hit the crossbar and bounced out before Manti Moholo tapped it in, although the linesman ruled that Akpabio's shot had crossed the line.
Polokwane reacted well to going behind and drew level in the 38th minute through Molala, whose shot was turned home by Esau Kanyenda to make it 1-1, although the goal was credited to Molala.
Rendani Ndou headed home Joseph Musonda’s cross in the 62nd minute to make it 2-1 and put the Citizens ahead for the first time in the game.
The hosts created several chances to add to their advantage but had to wait until injury time before substitute Bogere netted from the penalty spot to make it 3-1 after Siyabonga Zulu brought down Sipho Jembula in the area.

Bill Clinton doing what he does best! We need you back boy. Our ship is just a mess and that Orlando Pirates fear factor is gone.

VV came here and spoke about how much he has unfinished business here in SA, Kosta Papic and Ruud Krol have unfinished business at Orlando Pirates. Papic with the league and Krol with Africa. Only one of these men can return us to the days of rum and empty bank accounts.

My team is doing very well this days. I'm so happy that we found out winning formula. This shows that with the right man, attitude and determination, anything is possible. We sneaked into the top 8 and I think we going to cement our position in there for the 1st time. Thank you Lord for rising and shining us.
