University of Pretoria v AmaZulu PSL report

AmaZulu are off the foot of the table following a come-from-behind victory at University of Pretoria on Wednesday evening.
It was Bongi Ntuli’s brace in the second half that gave Usuthu the three crucial points which saw them shifting to the play-off spot on the PSL log.
Bornwell Mwape had the first chance for Usuthu, but his header missed the target.
In the eight minute Tuks were awarded a penalty after a foul by Energy Murambadoro, but the goalkeeper dusted himself off to make a good save from Geofrey Massa.
Marc van Heerden twice hit the woodwork from a free-kick, but not before Tebogo Monyai had given Tuks the lead with a header from a corner-kick.
Whatever Steve Barker’s halftime talk was, it seemed to do the trick as his charges came out firing after the break.
Ntuli got the equaliser almost straight from the restart from Willem Mwedihanga’s pass, before Sadate Ouro-Akoriko’s header went over the crossbar.
Ntuli got his brace on 64 minutes with a right-footed finish, before AmaTuks hit back.
Mwedihanga had to clear off the line in the 74th minute and Mpho Matsi shot wide late on to hand Usuthu a famous win – and get them out the automatic relegation zone.
