Premier Soccer League Mpumalanga Black Aces Platinum Stars

Platinum Stars picked up their second win of the Absa Premiership campaign after beating Black Aces 2-0 at Mbombela Stadium.

First-half goals from Vuyo Mere and Ndumiso Mabena secured Dikwena the three points on Wednesday night.
The loss for Aces was their second in the League after three matches and leaves them with only a point to their name.
Despite being away from home Platinum Stars took control of the game from the onset as they dominated the possession stakes and dictated the flow of the game.
Aces on the other hand looked a little disjointed and struggled to keep hold of the ball.
Chances were not as free-flowing as Stars would have liked, but they did win a penalty kick in the 15th minute when the referee adjudged Roger Da Costa to have handled the ball inside the box.
Captain Mere took responsibility for Stars and made no mistake from the spot, 1-0.
Stars did not let up after taking the lead and consequently found their second goal in the 23rd minute.
An initial Mduduzi Nyanda shot from 24 yards out was spilt by the keeper into the path of Ndumiso Mabena and he coolly slotted home from close range, 2-0.
Aces saw a bit more of the ball after that as they tried to find their way back into the game but the Stars defence held firm as they entered the break two goals to the good.
The second half was not very entertaining as Stars shut up shop at the back. Aces offered very little in attack and could not penetrate a solid-looking backline for Dikwena.

Hey wena Barker where is Mabhuti, he should be tormenting defenders with Ndoro, Mbesuma shouldn't last more than 45 minutes each game he is too fat...you used to be fair now when you start playing players of your choice even if they don't do Business then you will fight for relegation and resign or get fired before end of the season

Yesterday I was told I'm crazy for suggesting Mabena to be included in the National Team. Well, he just can't stop scoring at the moment.

Motha this is a lesson to all the bloggers not to call bench warmers cows. Players need game time to prove their worth. To Mabhena, Masango and others keep it up guys
