Kaizer Chiefs beat Mpumalanga Black Aces 2-1 in an exciting Absa Premiership encounter at Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday night.
Chiefs opened the scoring through Man of the Match Mandla Masango, who pounced on a defensive error from Aces to give his side the lead.
Aces hit back through a wonder goal by Aubrey Ngoma, whose first-time half-volley will be a contender for Goal of the Season.
But a bullet-finish from Reneilwe Letsholonyane on the stroke of half-time put Chiefs back into the ascendency.
The Amakhosi had the better of the chances in an end-to-end game, with George Maluleka denied on a number of occasions by the irrepressible Edwin Gyimah as well as Energy Murambadoro in the Aces goal.
Malukela also missed a sitter from four yards out when the ball hit his shoulder instead of his head, while Itumeleng Khune was at his best towards the end of the match to preserve his side's lead, keeping out Tendai Ndoro, Collins Mbesuma and Dennis Masina at vital moments.
