AmaZulu vs Ajax Cape Town PSL

Posted: 10 August 2014 Time: 14:45

AmaZulu against Ajax Cape Town played out to a goalless draw at Moses Mabhida Stadium today.

Roger de Sa’s side finished the match with 10 men after captain Nazeer Allie received his marching orders late on, but his side managed to hold on for the draw.

Both sides had half-chances inside the opening ten minutes, with Tashreeq Morris directing a weak header towards Tapuwa Kapini in the fifth minute, while Philani Shange saw his effort blocked by Cecil Lolo five minutes later.

AmaZulu were looking the better of the two sides, but Ajax almost took the lead against the run of play in the 32nd minute as Thabiso Nkoana was given room to shoot on the edge of the area, but his shot went just wide of the upright.

The home side had an opportunity to open the scoring in the 39th minute as Macala collected a pass from Shange on the right side of the box before drilling an effort against the sidenetting.

The chances were few and far between in the second half, but Ruzaigh Gamildien should have done better in the 71st minute when a cross from Macala fell for him at the far post, but he rushed his header over the crossbar.

Both sides had chances to grab maximum points late in the game, but both Keagan Dolly and Granwald Scott fired over the crossbar with less than ten minutes to play, while Gamildien was denied by a good save from Anssi Jaakkola in added time.

I really don't see much from Dolly, so as Qalinge but I will keep on watching them. I don't see any of them taking PSL by storm, so as my player, Zwane at Chloorkop.

Philane is better than Qalinge and Dolly but he is also not consistent.

True that , there was player in the swallows midfield , Phalane I think , he had a few good touches , he even score. Though deflection helped him, not sure if he is a youngster , let's give then about 5 to 10 games , even Percy at downs .

Can some one explain something to me, Pitso was insulted and called names for drawing. Pirates lost and many other teams drew and fans are saying its too early. Why Pitso was insulted? Is it jealousy coz a black man is coaching a billionare owned team or what? Blacks let's support each other please

Worst game of the weekend, jerrr what a boring game this turned out to be and coming from 2 sites that are coached by guys believing in attacking football. Very scrappy affair indeed. Once and always bucs.

SisterP who insulted bra jingles now? Sure he talks too much at times but its his nature to do so and there's nothing wrong with it. Bra jingles add spice to our boring psl league (boring cause teams are over defensive). That's value my friend. Like him or hate on him bra jingles is here to stay. Mara this is one boring league and teams should be fined for playing negative football, no wonder people don't go to the stadiums no more. Just look at swallows last night, defending, playing route one kak. Free state stars did the same against zebbies. Sies! Once and always bucs.
