Free State Stars beat Tower United 6-1 in a Nedbank Cup match played at Botshabelo Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Free State goals were scored by a Sthembiso Ngcobo hat-trick, a brace from Kingston Nkatha and a goal by Matome Madimabe. Sekgobelo pulled a goal back late in the game for Tower United.
The PSL side completely dominated the match against their third division opponents and never looked like they would not win.
Tower never gave up trying and were rewarded with a late goal by Sekgobelo.
