Siyabonga Nontshinga says his greatest regret is that his mother and sister are no longer alive to share his achievement of being called up for Bafana Bafana today.
"My mother passed away two years ago and my sister last year," the Jomo Cosmos striker says. "I am now the only breadwinner at home providing for the five members of my family ..."
Nontshinga, who is among the four new faces included in Pitso Mosimane's squad to face Ivory Coast in the Nelson Mandela Challenge in Port Elizabeth next weekend, says he owes his call-up to his boss, Jomo Sono.
"I want to thank 'Bra J' for this achievement," the Port Elizabeth born striker says.
"I feel I owe it all to him and he deserves thanks for everything has done to me since recruiting me to Cosmos this season.
"I wish both my mother and sister were here to share the excitement with me and I want to dedicate this call-up to them."
