AmaZulu claim Tembu Royals used ineligible player in Nedbank Cup

The Premier Soccer League has confirmed that they have received a written complaint from AmaZulu against Tembu Royals after their loss to the Second Division side in the Nedbank Cup.

Tembu Royals beat AmaZulu 2-1 at King Zwelithini Stadium on February 27 in the last 32 match, but the Durban club claims that Royals fielded an ineligible player.

“AmaZulu are contesting the eligibility of Tembu Royals player Zukisa Ginya who played against them during the Nedbank Cup last 32 fixture on 27 February 2013.

“In the interest of finding a speedy resolution and finality, the PSL has referred the matter directly to Safa Arbitration as per the Rules of the League,” the PSL says.

KickOff.com has learnt that the photo taken of Ginya before the match for a team photo is not the same person as is in his ID document.

“It is alleged that he is not playing with his identity, but with his brother’s. So it is case of false identity and we passed on the info to the PSL, so they can investigate," AmaZulu PRO Philani Mabaso says.

Nxa! Mazulu, you are not the first PSL team to loose from a vodacom team and you are not the last, so stop making noise. Ok even if SAFA can offer you a replay with the same team and remove the said player, you are still going to loose, stop waisting your time. If Chiefs and Pirates can loose from vodacom teams and they are not complaining, then who are you, coz in the next coming two season you will be playing at vodacom league.

If Amazulu has a case then it should be dealt with.It`s fine they were beaten by this team,but if they fielded in eligible player,then they have themselves to blame

Tembu Royals.......if i was fluent in Xhosa, i was gonna sing praises to the guy in their native language. Amazulu you are well within your rights to appeal, but it doesn't matter to us fans. We saw what these boys did to you guys & that will never be erased from our memories.

That's how deep is the rot in our football. His brother's life ends right here. Police must also open a case of FRAUD 2 nail this fraudster.

Even if Amazulu dnt win the arbitration, they wud've helped clean our football a bit. Setshedi is a convicted fraudster 4 trying 2 mess with our football/soccer. Hoping this wnt vanish like Isaac/Benedict Vilakazi's case.
