SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt reveals that defender Lucas Thwala will play no further part this season.
It is the latest in a long run of injuries for the former Orlando Pirates left-back, who has spent a great deal of his career on the treatment table.
And Hunt believes this latest blow could be the final straw for Thwala.
"He will battle to play football again. He went over his leg in the reserve game against Sundowns last week and broke his ankle; it's very bad. It's going to be tough for him."
Hunt also gave out some mixed news on the SuperSport injury front.
"George Maluleka is out for some time. Davies Nkausu is fine, but Mark Haskins is also out."

May he defy the odds...that is also in the game. Goodluck to him.
You can still play football.....you've been there for a very long time and you know better
You must also learn for these guys .....Morgan Gould,Happy Jele,Jimmy Tau,Katlego Mphela .
I once said this kind of pronounciations must be left to the medical team since they are the once qualified enough to speak.
By the way, I hope Thwala recovers from his injury...what a talent!
I hope you recover but anyway even if you still do not recover etlist you have won the PSL champions league, something that even Kaizer Junoir with many year at Chmpis from his nappies still long for.
Bucuneer until Shabba prove a point!!! kwaaaaak
Hardie MP product, I know for a fact that you will recover and survive the setback, and ppl like Gavin Hunt would run to the nearest Pie City, and grab the biggest humble pie for the year.
Please re-read the statement carefully, and try to apply the little (mind) that you have, in analyzing the statement you quoted. It would help you to watch and read about football, before you comment on stuff you clearly are knowledge-shy off.
Jimmy only meant that "Jele''s injury was (again based on the medics) much worse looking at the fractures etc, but he recovered fully, as compared to his........Also, it may mean that, if Happy Jele having been treated in a government hospital, could recover fully, he (Jimmy) stands far better chances to recover, as we all know the Professional outfit he is employed at.

Chief what exactly is your point? Jim, Jele, Jim, Jele!!! WTF. I read it twice, but still cannot make sense of it. Cheif do you stutter even when you write. Please rewrite to make sense because only you and you stuttering can understand the above giberish.
But Lucas Thwala is a danger to himself
He is very rough in everything he does in the field that is why he is always injured
