Keshi became only the second man to win the Nations Cup as both a player and coach but said his players should take the credit.
"It is their trophy," he said. "I always believed in them right from our training camp in Portugal when I told them that they could win the trophy.

"But they didn't believe me at the time and thought I was just talking. But they began to believe when we got here, and I must say I am happy for them because they did all we asked of them.
"You can't ask for a better group of players."

Nigeria won this cup because there was no stronger teams this year ,the final was boring hence Egypt was always winning. Now Nigerians back to your burrows in Lagos and Abuja .Let the Psl games restart. The 8th best league in the world and thats a fact.
In Nigeria i believe. I said it before and i am saying it agin! watch this Nigerian Team. These boys are hungry and most importantly they want to write a new chapter. This Class of 2013 will dominate African and the world footall for a very long time.
Mikel Obi thank you very much for showing dedication, discipline and love for your country. Despite acheiving it all you have realised that you havent won anything until you sink the black ball ( winning AFCON), and now History will judge you as one of the African greatest.
Your hard work, foresight, ball distrubution, slowing the game and generally doing that unfancy work at the middle of the park have been noticed by those who know football. I say now you can go back to England with pride and you head held high cause you have achieved what Drogba and Essian could not.
Proudly South African ( In Nigeria for CONFED I trust)
He is brave and can make unpopular decisions against a 70 million population's wishes
Obi Mikel what a middlefield genius, very calm, very talented and he never lose the ball. I. Am so blessed to be alive n watch this player called Obi Mikel. He plays at the highest level n has won Championship in Europe n in Africa. Wow, Yobo pllease hand ovet to Obi.
Your PSL is crap, don't be fooled even if it's ranked 1st in the world. Assembled set of players from your league are disgusting to watch. Your Mamelodi Sundowns vs Kaizer Chiefs or your banana banana are joke outside your HIV/AIDS infested country. Supporting a team is a choice and Nigerians don't need you to support them, with or without your support the Eagles is flying and haters like you you will continue to hate. Go hang yourself with your #### banana banana and remember if your white master catch's you here, he's gonna whip your Ass like they always do. SLAVE.
I just wonder what stressed you up so early in the morning young man, just cool yourself down. Honestly I won't stoop to your level just a reminder you are still an African who happened to be born in SA. You are no better than any African, probably there are Mozambicans, Zimbabweans, Nigerians etc. who live their lives optimally andd far better than your pathetic one. You are a shame to your own family as you display lack of morals and bad upbringing here. Shut up moron!!!
