Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic is refusing to stand by his word and resign after the Black Stars poor showing at the 2012 Nations Cup.
The Serbian promised when naming his squad for the tournament in December that he would resign if Ghana did not reach the finals but has done a U-turn and says he would stay on.
“Everything is in the hands of the Ghana Football federation, I have more time [one more year] on my contract,” he told GHANAsoccernet.
“I feel good here and I want to continue here because I think we build one strong team for the future.”
The 45-year old wants an analysis of what went right and wrong and plan for the future based on that.
“To see what is wrong and what is good so we can explain one good way for the future.”
Calls for his removal from ex-players to members of the Black Stars management team have been intense especially after Ghana exited the Nations Cup at the semi-final stage.
