Segolela: We are all fired up

Tlou Segolela says Orlando Pirates will progress to the group stages of the CAF Champions League if they follow the instructions of Brazilian coach Julio Leal and his technical team.
Bucs’ preparations during the League break have been focused more on their upcoming Champions League clash against Angolan outfit CRD Libolo on February 18 in Port Elizabeth.
During two recent practice matches against Angolan opposition, Leal and his technical team have been trying to get insights on the tactics their Champions League opponents are likely to employ against them.
“We are all fired up. I am very confident in the ability of the team and the coaches. We played against a team from Zambia yesterday and we won 2-1, so this shows you that they [the coaches and the players] know what they are doing,” Segolela tells KickOff.com.
“In Champions League and other important games, the coach will always have a game plan and it is up to us as players to follow their instructions.
“We have been training well and hard for the matches and are confident that we will achieve a positive result.”
He adds: “For some of us this is a chance to shine on a higher platform and I feel very honoured to be part of the team that will compete in the Champions League.”
Segolela, who is part of the Bucs’ 23-man Champions League squad, says a victory against Black Leopards in their next League match on February 15 would set the tone for a good result against the Angolans three days later.
“Black Leopards are also preparing for their continental competition so it will be a tough match. We have to win our first League match so that we face the team from Angola in the right frame of mind.”
