Lierse and Lokeren Belgian Cup Final called off
Saffers made to wait for trophy

The second leg of the Belgian Cup semifinal between Lierse and Lokeren was postponed last night because of a frozen pitch.
The match was called-off by referee Jerome Efong Nzolo with the extreme cold in Europe leaving a layer of ice on the pitch. The game will now be played on February 22.
It will have meant disappointment for South Africans on both sides, with Lierse stars Daylon Claasen and Siboniso Gaxa pitted against Lokeren’s Ayanda Patosi.
Lokeren lead 1-0 from the first leg, but Lierse’s decent home record this season will make them confident of overturning that scoreline.
Wednesday potentially sees another South African in action, weather permitting, as Kortrijk look to defend their 2-1 advantage from the away leg of their semifinal against Mons.
National Under-23 goalkeeper Darren Keet has featured for Kortrijk right through their cup campaign and is expected to start again tonight.
