Malawi have received a boost ahead of their Afcon qualifier against Botswana in Blantyre after striker Chiukepo Msowoya and midfielder Josephy Kamwendo booked their flights back home.
Msowoya has been struggling with a knee injury since arriving at Orlando Pirates for pre-season training whilst Kamwendo's availability for the tie against the Zebras was uncertain due to his proposed move to Cape Town to join Vasco Da Gama.
Speaking to KickOff.com, Kamwendo says he will be leaving with Msowoya for Malawi to join the rest of the Flames teammates preparing for the game against Botswana on Wednesday.
"He is our top goal scorer and we can't leave him behind," said Kamwendo referring to Msowoya.
"This is a crucial game and the only way to catch up with Botswana on top of the log is to beat them on Wednesday."
The Malawian midfielder confirms that he will be Vasco Da Gama upon when he returns from national duty in Malawi.
