Martín Cáceres' career kicked off at Defensor Sporting in 2006, where he spent a season before Spanish club Villarreal snapped him up.
Barcelona acquired him in 2008, but he spent this past season on loan at Juventus.
The defender made his international debut for Uruguay in 2007 and is a valuable squad player as he can fill in at centre-back or left-back.
