2 Jonathan Spector
Spector made his footballing breakthrough with the Manchester United youth academy in 2003, but made his professional debut for Chicago Fire before rejoining the Red Devils in 2003. However, he was unable to cement his place in the first-team and was loaned out to Charlton Athletic in 2005, but in 2006 signed a permanent contract with West Ham United.
Spector got his first taste of international action for the United States national team at the 2003 World Under-17 Championships and made his full international debut a year later in the World Cup qualifier against Jamaica. He was also part of the 2007 CONCACAF Gold Cup-winning squad.
