17 Jozy Altidore
Altidore began playing football at the IMG Soccer Academy in the United States, and in 2006 he made the move to the professional level with New York Red Bulls. After 37 appearances and 15 goals the striker was scooped up by Villarreal, but was unable to cement his place in the starting XI, and was soon loaned out to Xerez, and then Hull.
The forward has played for the United States at almost every level, including the Under-17, Under-20 and Under-23 teams, before making his full international debut in a friendly against South Africa just 11 days after his eighteenth birthday. He has since notched up eight goals for his country, including one against Spain in the semi-final of the 2009 Confederations Cup.
