1 Tim Howard
Howard began playing football for North Jersey Imperials in 1997 and has since played for Metro Stars and Manchester United, but he currently holds the first-choice goalkeeper spot with Everton.
He was part of the United States team for the 1999 World Youth Championships, and also played back-up to Brad Friedel at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He made his international debut in March 2002 against Ecuador and has since gone on to become the national team’s number-one shot-stopper.
