Jan Durica began his footballing career with Slovakian team DAC Dunajska Streda in 2001, but after failing to break into the regular first-team he made his mave to FC Artmedia Bratislava.
The cetnre-back spent two seasons at the club, making 78 appearances, and he was quickly snapped up by FC Saturn Moscow Oblast in 2006. Durica spent another three years playing his trade with the club, but in January 2009 he signed a three-year deal with Lokomotiv Moscow for a reported 3.5million euros.
He made his international debut for Slovakia in 2004, and has since gone on to earn 34 caps for his country, scoring just one goal.
