7 Simon Elliott
Simon Elliott is one of the All Whites' most capped players, having played over 50 matches since his debut in 1999. He is a defensive midfielder and as such does not score many goals, but his presence is vital to their team dynamic.
Elliott currently plays for the San Jose Earthquakes and has spent most of his career in the USA. He started out at the Boston Bulldogs in 1999 before spending four years at LA Galaxy. He also spent time with Fulham in England from 2006 to 2008, but his services were not used often and he went back to the States in early 2009.
