7 Dirk Kuyt
Dirk Kuyt signed his first professional contract with Utrecht when he was 18 in 1998, and immediately established himself in the first team there.
In the 2002/2003 season he was played by the new manager as a striker, his favoured position, and subsequently scored 20 goals, helping his team to win the Dutch Cup, and was voted Man of the Match after the final.
He moved to Feyenoord the following the season, where he played well in his three years there.
Kuyt made his first appearance for Liverpool on 26 August 2006, scoring his first goal a month later against Newcastle United.
Able to play as both a winger and a striker, Kuyt is a favourite among Liverpool fans, not least for his ability to score match-winning goals, form he reproduces on an international level for the Netherlands, for whom he has been a regular of the first team since 2004.
